This was our third year attending the Parks & Leisure Australia VIC/TAS (PLA) conference.

This 2 day event was held at newly upgraded  RACV Cape Schanck Resort, on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

Attendees represented a excellent cross section of personnel from Councils, peak sporting bodies & government departments.

Terrain Group was there in full force with a stand that was equipped with a 1.5 meter TV screen showcasing our work on video. The screen made our stand pop out, helped us interact with more people and offered visual engagement.

We extended our support by sponsoring the Speakers’ gifts, which had representation from about 75 councils across Victoria and Tasmania.

This year’s conference in particular was a perfect fit for us as it had a number of decision makers attending the event.

Our stand received 50% more visitors in 2019 as compared to the last year’s conference in Victoria. We are delighted with the number of firm enquiries we received at the event.

This year’s outdoor furniture trends discussed at the conference were broadly based on technology, disability compliance and maintenance.

Bevis added:

“Incorporating wi-fi, charging stations in parks and outdoor spaces was a hot topic. Wheel chair compliant urban furniture is a trend that everyone is looking into and coming up with new products to cater.”

We had a wonderful time at this two-day event and look forward to the next one.
