Congratulations to Whyalla Council on the official opening of the new foreshore toilet renewal project. The project which commenced in July – has succesfully delivered a contemporary facility that will improve safety, accessibility, and practicality for all users.

Terrain Group oversaw the project in collaboration with Whyalla Council and key contractors ensuring a smooth process from beginning to end.

New Toilet Features include:

👉 4 door restrooms with – 3 ambulant cubicles (designed for people with differing levels of ability) 1 wheel chair compliant cubicle

👉 Finishes- All-aluminium, corrosion-resistant construction in clear anodised aluminium Doors – Shale Grey Powdercoat Roof – Dover White Powdercoat Posts, roof capping,gutter, door jambs – Monument Powdercoat Veranda with wind/privacy screen – Hinoki Woodlike Timbermatch

👉 Separate entrance to rear service duct housing the toilet cisterns, to minimise vandalism

👉 Vinyl wrap with historic foreshore picture on back wall (Whyalla Foreshore in the 1950’s)

👉 Auto locking system – automatically locking doors at 9:30pm and opening at 5:30am.

Mayor Phill Stone is pleased with the project’s completion, stating,

“This project will greatly benefit everyone who enjoys the foreshore area. I am happy to see it complete and open to the public, providing modern facilities for both our community and visitors, while also recognising our past through the fantastic vinyl wrap across the back. ”

Terrain Group installed the restrooms within 4 days, followed by the installation of artwork to the back wall of the building which was complete within a few hours.
