The recent completion of the Port Dock Railway Line Project in Port Adelaide, SA marks a significant milestone in the revitalization of the area. The project included the restoration of the spur line, the construction of a new train station and bus interchange, as well as the creation of a new plaza which has brought back new life to Port Dock.
Terrain Group collaborated with the Department of Infrastructure, McConnell Dowell, and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield to supply and install the All Aluminium restroom featuring 1 x wheel-chair compliant and 1 x standard cubicle with an external wash basin fitted on the outside front wall. Standard door hardware was fitted with sensor-operated lighting in both cubicles.
The client specified they wanted an external mural applied to x1 of the external wall. The end result was amazing, showcasing emblems of various railway engine designs throughout history.
The commencement of train services into Port Adelaide after four decades is a commendable effort by all parties involved, providing a link to the past for the benefit of the present community.
The overall project has supported 100 full-time equivalent jobs per year averaged over the life of the construction period
