Hewett Recreation Reserve

Hewett Recreation Reserve features a large open space for the modern housing subdivision on Rosella Crescent at Hewett, just a few minutes drive from the township of Gawler, South Australia.

In 2016 the Council had a new playground installed to service this reserve along with picnic facilities and furniture to complement the open space.

In early 2019 Terrain Group was commissioned to install a public amenity building for the area. Working together with the Light Regional Council, the Yarra Series Building was customised to feature two toilets (both wheelchair compliant), as well as a storage/cleaners room central in the building which contractors can store supplies and access during cleaning.

The colour selection for this project was important – blending in with the natural surrounds was imperative.

Neutral colours were used to seamlessly integrate the building into the setting.

The Council selected their choice of door hardware and components were fitted during production of the kit form buildings, so that after erection a locksmith simply attended to program accordingly.

This location required a new electrical connection by SA Power Networks and a new septic tank/pump chamber and rising main to a new sewer connection in the adjacent road.

Light Regional Council took care of the SA Power Networks connection with the assistance of Terrain Group.
