A brand-new recreation precinct in the heart of Goolwa
A project which was announced in April 2020 has finally come to fruition thanks to a sought-after vision by various user groups and the support of Australian and state government.
Located just over one hours drive from Adelaide CBD, in SA you will find a brand-new multi-purpose recreation space for the community and sporting clubs to use.
An initial consultation process with nine of Goolwa’s sporting groups including Goolwa-Port Elliott football club, Goolwa netball club and Goolwa cricket club.
As part of stage 2 of the development, terrain group were excited to be part of the $8.2 million project with the design, supply and installation of a 7-cubicle restroom block located near the eastern entrance and oval precinct.
The restroom installed in August 2023 consisted of 7 cubicles: 1x unisex WCC, 1 x ambulant female, 1x male, 2x standard female and 2x standard male. Included in the build was a rear service area.
All cubicles were fitted out with pans and concealed cisterns, wash basins, jumbo toilet roll holders and liquid soap dispensers, hand dryers and stainless-steel hooks. Handrails were installed in each WCC and cubicle and a baby change table in WCC cubicle.
The main restroom structure was manufactured from timbermatch anodised aluminium in charcoal ash with external building cladding in grey smoke and internal cladding in clear. A front screening was installed in charcoal ash.
Sensor lighting was installed on a timer in each cubicle and verandah to ensure safety of visitors and the service area included a cleaners sink.
As part of the continuation of the stage 2 upgrade near the new and refurbished netball/tennis couts, and the new entry to Hutchinson Street, Terrain Group supplied and delivered the following products:
2x Capricorn Shelters; 6x4m with high side screening sections in anodised black, flounge mounted with Windspray colourbond roof.
Skillion Bus Shelters x4 were installed either end inside of the netball/tennis courts forming part of coach/spectator seating. Each structure was in a timber match colour Charcoal Ash and Windspray colourbond roof , and included the Parkway Seat in anodised grey smoke.
As part of the gateway entrance and landscape design 2x Monaco Seats were installed within the featured area facing outward to each of the courts. Each structure was made of hardwood timber, with black frame.
