The Diamond Hills Lookout in Victoria takes in sweeping views of the Dandenong Ranges, the city skyline and the local Nillumbik Shire. Diamond Hills is one of the highest points in metropolitan Melbourne, nestled amongst urban development within Greensborough. The lookout now boasts a new shade structure from which to enjoy the sweeping views–the Capricorn shelter from Terrain Group. This new multipurpose structure has the potential to serve local bird watchers, amateur astronomers, tai chi classes and family picnics.

Further to the recent request for quotation for Diamond Hills Reserve Shelter Construction, Terrain Group was the successful tenderer and awarded the works as an entire package for supply and installation.

Works required by Nillumbik Shire Council:

At the time of request for quote, the scope of works was to build a new park shelter in Diamond Hills Reserve, as follows.

Obtain all required permits and approvals for the project, including all building permits and documentation.
Supply and install a standard skillion roof shelter
Shelter size to be: 6m (W) x 10 m (L)
Supply and lay new concrete slab

A great opportunity to work with Nillumbik Shire Council and anothewr example of a complete supply and installation package by Terrain Group, carried out in a timely and to 100% customer satisfaction.

Soil reports and site contour plans were also shared with Terrain Group to assist with works on site.

Brett & Matt and our Melbourne-based team ensured that the works were undertaken with as little inconvenience as possible to the site. The shelter structure was delivered to site in our convenient flat pack kit form and install works commenced without delay.

Erection works were carried out across a few days, with entire program of works going to plan. Speaking with the client recently, they were more than satisfied and grateful for the workmanship and product installed.

This structure now houses two picnic settings, ready to be enjoyed by the locals, and will serve as a great picnic area for the reserve and nearby preschool.
