Unpredictable is an understatement. Are you going to, are you not going to? What do I pack, how do I wear my hair? No, I’m not talking about your getaway. I’m talking about the weather.

Remember the days when you just knew that December was going to be hot and winter was smack in the middle of June and August? Well you may have noticed that although it is cold, wet and dreary at the moment, as it should be, we are getting rain and sun all year round. And lets not forget about the UV in Australia, no matter the weather conditions we live in a harsh climate.

So, what do we do about it? Never go outside? Never plan a BBQ in the park? Never venture out in case it gets too hot or even worse you get caught in the hail? Of course not, that would send us cray cray!!

What we do is hope, and appreciate, that all our local councils are taking note of our changing unpredictable weather conditions and spending the money where it counts. Spending the money on decent shelters!!

Ever been to a beautiful park wedding or party but had no shelter? It’s not just the crazy rain that can put a damper on things, good shelters provide protection from everything from cute sun showers, to hail, to wild winds and scorching sun.

Don’t let your council get away with not providing good quality shelter and if you have an open space near you that doesn’t provide this, contact your local council and ask why! After all…unpredictable is sooo 2017.
