A few moments with Josh Gould
A few moments with Josh Gould, Terrain Group’s Projects & Site Co-ordinator
Each month, we catch up with one of our staff because we know that it’s the relationships we have with our customers that are so important to our business overall. This month, we sat down with Projects and Site Co-ordinator Josh Gould and fired a few questions at him to learn a little bit more about this new Dad!
Who are you, where are you from, and what is your role?
I’m Josh Gould. [I’m] from Lucindale, down in the South East, born and bred. I’m the Projects & Site Coordinator so I spend pretty much all my time out in the field.
How long have you been with Terrain Group?
Since 2004!….. I started helping out on the first site Export Park [Adelaide Airport] , a few days a week back then and I’m still here 14 years later!
What are some of the biggest projects you’ve worked on with Terrain?
The Tumby Bay Golf Club & Cricket field irrigation jobs would have to be the biggest. Also the DPTI Rest areas along the Dukes, Sturt and Port Augusta highways were a big one for our Elements products. In the last few years we’ve done a lot of multi-function MODUS toilet buildings, in areas such as Loxton- good butcher up there, by the way [Josh adds with a cheeky grin] I’ve worked at some stunning locations in central & remote areas of Australia and into Melbourne & environs. I love the challenge that comes with every location.
What projects are you particularly proud of, working with Terrain?
Definitely the Tumby Bay Golf Club upgrade.. It was start-to-finish, a 9-hole golf course, cricket field, pump shed, a project I ran and was fully commissioned. It was the happiest I’ve seen a council in years, usually they’re a bit more reserved with their praise. I still get photo updates sent through from the boys at the golf club to keep me across how it’s going – that’s pretty cool to see something you spent so long working on into the future.
What do you think Terrain do better than anyone else in the industry?
Diversity – we do a bit of everything, but we take pride in everything we do!
We don’t just slap it together. We design solutions for the customer that do the job, and do it well . I guess there’s plenty of companies who do one thing well, here or there, but we seriously get it right from the first phone call, to the last tool we pack up on site. Leaving a site and seeing a project to completion makes my day!
Why do you think customers should choose Terrain for their open space solutions?
They get to see me! No, seriously though, we supply the gear but we install it too. So I get to know the people we deal with a lot and they feel comfortable calling us next time because they know I’ll be on the case. [Josh pretends to turn his phone off after answering this question, with that same cheeky grin].
So now you know a little more about Josh Gould, Terrains Projects & Site Co-ordinator You may have already met him before, but next time you see him, you can have even more peace of mind that he’s looking after your project.
